Historical Location of Corbenic

Much work has been devoted to identifying the historical locations of various places associated with King Arthur, such as Camelot in Somerset, or Dinas Emrys in Snowdownia. But some time ago, I was asked where Corbenic might be located. I'm interested in knowing what everyone's thoughts are.

My own theory is that Glastonbury was Corbenic. Although Glastonbury Tor is frequently associated with the Isle of Avalon, I see a number of associations with Corbenic. For instance, there once grew a tree there that was said to have been planted when Joseph of Arimathea first brought the Grail to Britain and stuck his staff in the ground. Moreover, modern analysis of this tree's descendants has pointed to an origin from the Middle East, so we see the associations with the Grail location already. Finally, according to tradition, the monastery atop Glastonbury is said to have been founded by Joseph in order to guard the grail - an element which is almost parallel to that of the Fisher King from Chrétien de Troyes' Perceval.

Was the Fisher King actually the of a line descended from Joseph? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.
